At Creative Caminito CIC we are building new and inclusive tango music education & performance communities with innovative projects throughout the UK, developing musicianship, creativity, community, and intercultural understanding. We aim to enrich cultural opportunities in the UK, and develop multiple collaborations between different cultures. The UK has never had a thriving tango music scene and the opportunities for musicians to perform at live milongas has been far and few between. In order to break the cycle of a lack of opportunities but also a lack of musicians who can play the genre, Creative Caminito was born! We are currently running 4 orchestras in London, Bristol, the New Forest and Leeds with more in the pipeline (Manchester & Glasgow...) These orchestras create partnerships with local tango dance schools and perform at their tango events. The number of events we are involved in grows every year and we are aiming to have orchestras throughout the country creating opportunities for everyone who is involved. If you would be interested in either of these unpaid positions please get in touch. As we grow we will be applying for funding to be able to start to offer some paid student internships from 2027.
